Julian is no Welker by any stretch of the imagination. Welker is a Top 5 WR in theFL while Julian is the playing his first season at WR. But Edelman filled in very nicely for Welker vs the Texans grabbing 10 balls for over 100 yards.
The ever-dependable Kevin Faulk out of the backfield will play a bigger role and rookie Julian Edelman will have to step into Welker's slot position. Along with Faulk and Edelman, tight end Benjamin Watson will have to not only help 
WR Julian Edelman will though, and what is ironic is that Welker was not a guarantee the first time to play against the Ravens (he did, and led the Patriots with 6 catches for 48 yards). Edelman doesn't have the same chemistry with
